Kenneth Copeland — When You Have No Resources

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland

2 Chronicles 14:11

KJV—Lord, it is nothing with thee to help,
whether with many, or with them that have
no power.

AMP—O Lord, there is none besides You to
help, and it makes no difference to You whether
the one You help is mighty or powerless.

Moffatt—O Eternal, thou art the only one to
help the weak against the mighty.

NIV—Lord, there is no one like you to help the
powerless against the mighty.

Psalm 8:2

KJV—Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings
hast thou ordained strength because of thine
enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy
and the avenger.

AMP—Out of the mouth of babes and
unweaned infants You have established
strength because of Your foes, that You might
silence the enemy and the avenger.

NIV—From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise because of your
enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

TLB—You have taught the little children to
praise you perfectly. May their example shame
and silence your enemies!

Psalm 12:5

KJV—For the oppression of the poor, for the
sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the
Lord; I will set him in safety from him that
puffeth at him.

AMP—Now will I arise, says the Lord, because
the poor are oppressed, because of groans of
the needy; I will set him in safety and in the
salvation for which he pants.

Moffatt—“The weak are being crushed, the
needy sigh; So I take action,” says the Eternal
One, “and set them safe where they long to be.”

NIV—“Because of the oppression of the weak
and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,”
says the Lord. “I will protect them from those
who malign them.”

Psalm 34:6

KJV—This poor man cried, and the Lord heard
him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Moffatt—Here is a poor man whose cry
the Eternal heard, and helped him out of all
his troubles.

NIV—This poor man called, and the Lord heard
him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

Psalm 35:10

KJV—All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like
unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him
that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and
the needy from him that spoileth him?

AMP—All my bones shall say, Lord, who is
like You, You Who deliver the poor and the
afflicted from him who is too strong for him,
yes, the poor and the needy from him who
snatches away his goods?

Moffatt—All my being shall exclaim, “O thou
Eternal, who is like thee, O rescuer of the
weak from stronger powers, O rescuer of the
wretched from destroyers!”

NIV—My whole being will exclaim, “Who is like
you, O Lord? You rescue the poor from those
too strong for them, the poor and needy from
those who rob them.”

Psalm 40:17

KJV—I am poor and needy; yet the Lord
thinketh upon me: thou art my help and
my deliverer.

AMP—I am poor and needy, yet the Lord
takes thought and plans for me. You are my
Help and my Deliverer.

Moffatt—I am weak and wretched; yet the
Eternal will take thought for me. Thou art my
help and my deliverer.

NIV—I am poor and needy; may the Lord think
of me. You are my help and my deliverer.
